BJP set to corner AAP govt on 4th Delhi Finance Commission
Press Trust of India New Delhi Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta today said BJP will corner the AAP government on the issue of implementation of recommendations of the fourth Delhi Finance Commission in the upcoming Winter Session.
Accusing the AAP government of acting out of a "political vendetta" against the three MCDs, he said it didn't want the civic bodies to be financially strong to serve the people of Delhi.
"This is precisely the reason Chief Minister has said the government will only table the report of the 4th Delhi Finance Commission in the Assembly but not implement it," the Leader of Opposition said.
Claiming that Delhi government owes Rs 4,400 crore to the three MCDs, Gupta said that due to government's neglect, the municipal corporations were suffering a "tremendous" financial loss.
The Winter Session of the Delhi Assembly starts November 18.
