"BJP is showing off its power (to replace Congress-led government at the Centre) because of Congress's anti-people policies," the Trinamool Congress chief told an election rally here in North Dinajpur district.
"Congress has sold out the country. People are fed up with the Congress. It has inflicted miseries on the people. It has increased the price of diesel, petrol and gas and tried to snatch the livelihood of crores of small traders," she said.
Recalling that her party had allied with the Congress in the 2011 Assembly elections, she claimed that the TMC helped it win seats and alleged that the party, on the other hand, acted like 'Mir Jafar' and assisted the CPI(M) and its allies Forward Bloc and RSP to secure seats.
Claiming that Congress, BJP and CPI(M) were not an alternative in the elections in state, but the TMC was, she said "Is dafa Bengal me TMC ki bari."

She also claimed that no government in Delhi could be formed without the TMC.
"Whenever elections come Congress, BJP and CPI(M) make promises, but don't get swayed by them," she said.
She claimed that Congress and BJP which had joined hands on the Telangana issue wanted to divide Bengal, Bihar and other parts of the country.
