Hitting out at Congress for sky- rocketing prices of essential commodities in Delhi, BJP today said it will regulate the prices of vegetables and other items within 30 days, if voted to power.
"We promise to regulate and control the sky-rocketing vegetable prices in 30 days and reduce the power tariff by 30 per cent," Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said at a rally in Seemapuri in East Delhi.
Appealing people to vote for BJP on December 4, she exuded confidence that BJP would mark a hat-trick in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh where polling has already been held.
She also said that the party would win in Rajasthan riding on anti-incumbency wave against Congress.
The BJP leader made a strong pitch to the women voters, promising them 12 LPG cylinders at subsidised rate.
She took a dig at Congress' claims of regularising unauthorised colonies, saying the task is still incomplete after so many years.
Wooing residents of these colonies who are said to be Congress party's main vote bank, Swaraj said BJP will come up with a 'Jan Punarvas' scheme under which a house will be given to slum-dwellers living in shanties.
Terming BJP Chief Ministerial Harsh Vardhan as a hardworking and honest candidate, Swaraj said he has made a list of 35 essential medicines which will be given free of cost.
Other promises included smart card for students and a welfare scheme for migrants.
