Angry over Khurshid describing Modi as "impotent" in dealing with the post-Godhra riots, BJP demanded an immediate apology from the Congress leadership.
BJP charged Congress of being "desperate and despondent" ahead of elections and said sensing defeat, ruling party leaders have resorted to use of abusing language against Modi after failing to take on him politically.
"We have strong objection to the kind of words used by Salman Khurshid. I think Salman Khurshid has studied abroad and it seems he has forgotten Indian traditions and has come down to use of abusive language and misbehaviour...We want that the Congress leadership should apologise immediately," BJP Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.
"I am not his doctor. I cannot physically examine him. So I have no business to be saying what his physical condition is. The word impotent is used in political vocabulary to show that somebody is incapable of doing something," he said.
