"You can afford to forget it, but we are unable to do so," Modi, a former deputy chief minister told reporters here.
"The 'jungle raj' during the rule of former chief minister Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi for 15 years between 1990 and 2005 still haunted the people," Modi alleged.
Bihar was being pushed back to the same era of lawlessness given the spurt in crime in recent months, he said.
