BJP state prez blew my remarks out of proportion: VCK chief
Press Trust of India Coimbatore VCK chief Thol Thirumaavalavan today charged state BJP President Tamilisai Soundarajan with blowing out of proportion his remarks on whether they were trying to cash in on the GST issue in 'Mersal' and rope in actor Vijay.
Speaking to reporters here,he said he had sought to know if BJP was trying to cash in on the GST issue in Mersal and rope in Vijay. However she had unnecessarily misunderstood it and used derogatory remarks against him, he told reporters.
He alleged that BJP workers had beaten up VCK activists when they staged a peaceful demonstration at Karur recently against her remarks.
Thirumavalavan, on his way to Salem to attend a party general council meeting, said that the VCK would fight against the practice of usury, GST and communal politics.
He welcomed actor Kamal Hassan directly engaging in social work for the people's cause.
