BJP General Secretary (organisation) Ram Lal has spoken to its state presidents and in-charges twice since yesterday, giving a number of directions, including that party leaders and workers should not be unnecessarily queueing up to get cash
from ATMs and banks and help masses standing in lines.
Various social organisations, like ones run by yoga guru Ramdev, have also been roped in to help people, party sources said.
He also referred to a number of relaxations given by the government over the last few days and said the party has been consistently giving feedback to the government.

The limit of old and now defunct Rs 500 and Rs 1000 rupee notes that can be exchanged for freshly minted Rs 2000 and new Rs 500 notes has been increased from Rs 4000 to Rs 4500 per day. Cash withdrawal limit at ATMs has been hiked to Rs 2,500 from Rs 2,000 a day. The government also extended deadline for using old notes at petrol pumps and hospitals.
"The Prime Minister has taken the decision not in political interest but in national interest and our feedback is that people support it," he said.
