The three-member BJP team constituted to inquire into the murder of its Tamil Nadu unit General Secretary V Ramesh will embark on a two-day tour of the state on July 25.
The team, led by Rajya Sabha member Prakash Javadekar, would tour Salem, Coimbatore, Vellore and Chennai to hold inquiries before submitting a report with the high command, party's National Executive member L Ganesan said today.
The other members of the team are national spokesperson Nirmala Seetharaman and Karnataka MP Anant Hegde.
BJP president Rajnath Singh had constituted the team on July 21, two days after Ramesh's killing.
Senior party leader L K Advani will visit Salem on August 1 to participate at a condolence meeting in memory of Ramesh, who was hacked to death in the town on July 19 by a four-member gang using sharp-edged weapons.
"Advani will meet the family of Ramesh to express his condolences before addressing a Shraddhanjali (condolence) meeting there," he said.

Claiming that his party besides other saffron units in the state were being targeted by anti-national elements, he released a list of attacks on the Sangh Parivar in Tamil Nadu since 1982 including the Coimbatore serial blasts ahead of Advani's visit in 1998 that killed scores of persons.
He expressed "some relief" on Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa condemning Ramesh's murder and her appointment of a Special Investigation Division under CB-CID DGP starting the probe.
Without mentioning the name of Congress General Secretary Shakeel Ahmed for his controversial tweet linking Indian Mujahideen's creation to the 2002 Godhra riots, Ganesan criticised him.
