BJP thanks people for making PM's Kanpur rally 'successful'
Press Trust of India Kanpur BJP workers today organised two rallies in the city thanking the people for making Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally here "successful".
People from Kanpur and nearby areas yesterday participated in the Modi's rally at Nirala Nagar in large number making it successful, Party's district president Surendra Maithani said today.
After witnessing the enthusiasm of the citizens in the rally, we can say that BJP would form government in Uttar Pradesh after the Assembly polls in the state, he said.
To show party's gratitude towards the citizens of the city for their support, two 'Aabhar rath yatras' were taken out here today, the leader added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had yesterday addressed a 'parivartan rally' of BJP here in which he alleged that Parliament was not allowed to function as rival parties were trying to defend the dishonest and were running away from a debate on issues like graft and simultaneous polls to Lok Sabha and assemblies.
