BJP to corner Cong in Assembly over land to industrial group

BJP today said it would raise the issue of the Harish Rawat-led Congress government allegedly underselling land to an industrial group for building a school during the upcoming Assembly session.
Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Ajay Bhat today said his party would demand answers from Congress on this and and pressure it over various others issues including deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
The five-day session of the State Assembly will begin at Gairsain tomorrow where the main agenda would be to table the Supplementary Budget.
Bills related to taxation and job reservation for those who took part in the movement for separate state of Uttarakhand would also figure in the session, state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Indira Hridayesh said.
The Assembly Session would continue till November 6 and later a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee would decide whether it should be extended, the minister said.
