"Harish Rawat government in Uttarakhand has failed on fronts. BJP will hold a big rally here and gherao the state assembly on March 14 to protest against a non-performing government," Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Ajay Bhatt told reporters here.
The state BJP President claimed that people are looking for a change of government and the proposed stir "will herald its collapse."
Accusing the state government of having spent only 50 per cent of the last budget, Bhatt questioned the justification of tabling a budget of Rs 40,422.20 crore for 2016-17.
Alleging that the state government had done nothing except making announcements, he said maximum work has been done on centrally-sponsored schemes.
