Himachal Pradesh BJP's charge-sheet committee in its first meeting today discussed strategies to pin-down the Congress-led government through the "charge-sheet" route.
"The committee will compile the alleged acts of omission and commission of the state government and incorporate it in the form of a charge-sheet which will be submitted to the Governor on December 24," senior BJP leader Suresh Bhardwaj, who chaired the meeting here, said.
"The next meeting of the committee would be on November 18 to review the progress of the charge-sheet. It would be ready by December 15 and will be submitted as the government completes term on December 24," he said.
The objective of the committee is to expose the alleged acts of "corruption, misuse of power and nepotism" by the government, Bhardwaj said.
He asked committee members to tour districts to gather information, documentary evidences about rampant corruption and get feedback from people to incorporate them in form of a charge-sheet.
The meeting was attended by former chief minister and the leader of the opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal.
"The committee has allocated districts to its members," he said, adding he would himself visit Shimla and Sirmaur districts.
He informed, Shimla and Mahasu districts has been assigned to Rajiv Bindal, Chamba, Nurpur and Palampur to Ravinder Singh Ravi, Kullu and Lahaul and Spiti to Mohinder Singh, Bilaspur and Sundernagar to Jai Ram Thakur, Hamirpur and Una to Randhir Sharma and Kangra and Dehra to Vipin Parmar.
