At least 10.25 crore new members were enrolled in the BJP's recent nation-wide membership drive of which 15 lakh would be screened for training by the party, Kailash Vijayvargiya, a Madhya Pradesh minister and membership campaign in charge, told PTI here.
BJP would be a mass base party and would also raise its cadre strength by providing training to new-comers after their proper selection from across the country, he said.
The BJP has already begun a 'Mahasampark Abhiyan' (mass-contact program) in which the workers would meet the new members at their homes, provide them with the party's guidelines and literature, and get them to fill a 21-point pro-forma, Vijayvargiya said who had come here to address a a party workshop yesterday.
Every party functionary needs to be available on social media sites so that public could get direct information about BJP's plans and development, he added.
On economic scenario of Madhya Pradesh, where he holds Housing, Urban Administration, and Environment Ministry, Vijayvargiya said the state was leading in Asia with the agriculture growth of 25 per cent, and state's growth at 12 per cent.
