Police said Ramesh(35) union youth wing president was on his way to see his wife and six month old baby,at nearby Puzhuthikulam in a car with a party flag late last night when the gang waylaid the vehicle and hacked him to death He died on the spot.
Police said the reason for the murder was not clear and added that a special team has been formed to nab the culprits.
