"Even before the poll process has begun, money is being circulated in the constituency. The Election Commission should ensure a free-and-fair election and monitor the (poll) process from the beginning itself," Tamil Nadu BJP chief Tamilisai Soundararajan said.
Speaking to reporters at the city airport, she said the party's Parliamentary Board meeting on March 16 in Chennai would decide the candidate from the RK Nagar seat.
Moreover, she added that "total protection" should be provided to students from Tamil Nadu studying in other states.
She also alleged that the state had no administrative capability to solve the burning issues such as the acute drinking water shortage, which should be addressed on a "war-footing".
Tamilisai also threatened that the BJP would stage state-wide agitations, like the DMK, if the government did not ensure the regular supply of ration items within a week.
