Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and state Congress chief Sachin Pilot today accused the ruling BJP of misusing the government machinery to its advantage ahead of the September 13 bypoll to four assembly constituencies.
The Congress leaders were addressing a rally in Buhana area of the Surajgarh constituency in Jhunjhunu district.
Alleging that the BJP government has not done anything remarkable so far, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC) president Pilot said the Raje dispensation has instead worked for stalling development and depriving people of the benefits of schemes launched by the erstwhile Congress regime.
Pilot, a former Union minister, said the Chief Minister could not expand her cabinet in nine months and the government did not take decisions for the public welfare.
He alleged that government employees were being misused by the party for political gain.
Former Chief Minister Gehlot also alleged that BJP was misusing the government machinery for the bypolls.

Gehlot said that the government led by him had introduced various welfare schemes and programmes like free medicines and test which benefited a large number of people across the state but now the people were not getting advantage of the schemes because of the present government's ill intentions.
Instead of providing relief to the people, the BJP government is working to deprive them of benefits of the welfare schemes, Gehlot alleged.
Former RPCC president C P Joshi and other senior leaders were present in the meeting.
The state's four assembly constituencies -- Surajgarh (Jhunjhunu), Weir (Bharatpur), Kota South and Nasirabad (Ajmer) -- are going to bypoll on September 13.
