The sitting MLA and daughter-in-law of BJP veteran Kailashpati Mishra today quit the saffron party to join JD(U).
Mishra's daughter-in-law Dilmani Devi, who was administered membership of JD(U) by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar last night, came to the JD(U) office today to make it public.
State JD(U) President Basistha Narayan Singh introduced
Dilmani Devi as the new member of the party at a press conference today.
Devi was 'denied' ticket from Brahmapur Assembly seat in Buxar district from where she was elected in 2010.
BJP has given ticket to Vivek Thakur, son of BJP leader and former Union minister C P Thakur, from the seat.
She came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home minister Rajnath Singh for "insulting" Kailashpati Mishra, founding member of the saffron party.
