Citing various survey reports, BJP president Rajnath Singh today expressed confidence of getting a clear majority in coming Lok Sabha elections.

"Congress party ruled the country for so many years after independence but the party only did divisive politics and did nothing for communal harmony in the country. It wants to make government with divisive politics," he told reporters on the sidelines of a two-day party workshop, meant to train new legislators and discuss strategy for the coming Lok Sabha polls.

"Congress has brought communal violence bill... Who is guilty will it be decided on the basis of religion or community? Elections are approaching and Congress is using such things for getting political advantage," he said.

Singh, who was in the city to inaugurate the workshop, said the party would soon announce candidates for the Lok Sabha elections as well as the party's state president in Rajasthan.

BJP's sitting MLAs and those candidates who lost the state assembly elections held in December last were present in the workshop in which the party discussed strategy for the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier, speaking at the inaugural session of the workshop, Singh said BJP was committed for the protection of social values along with economic development in the country, and for resolving all issues related with the nation's respect.

Addressing the party leaders, he said BJP does a politics of humanity not that of religion and community and blamed the Congress for doing politics of communalism, according to a party spokesperson.

Congratulating Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and other leaders for an impressive win in the assembly elections Singh asked the public representatives to fulfil all the promises made to people.

Singh also asked them to keep the momentum for winning all the parliamentary seats in the state, the spokesperson said.

"It is a training session for new legislators and we are also discussing strategy for the Lok Sabha elections. We target to win all the 25 parliamentary Constituencies in Rajasthan in the ensuing elections," Health Minister Rajendra Rathore said.

He said that the BJP president gave necessary directions to the party leaders in the opening session of the workshop.

Raje was also present in the workshop.
