BJP will win 15 MLC seats, says Yeddyurappa

: BJP was confident of winning at least 15 of the 20 seats it is contesting in the Legislative council elections on December 27, BJP leader and former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, MP, said here today.
Addressing reporters at Udupi where he had come to campaign for the MLC polls, he said BJP was making concerted efforts across the state to win a majority in the polls. There was little fight in the Dakshina Kannada-Udupi constituency where his party was confident of winning, he said.
He alleged that the Congress government in the state had scant regard for the rural population. No developmental work was taking place in these areas though the government had given plenty of promises to the people.

He also alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who holds the Finance portfolio, could not implement many schemes in the budget presented by him nine months back. Development had taken a backseat in the state, he said.
On the National Herald case, he said every citizen was bound to appear in court when there was a summons. Blaming the Prime Minister for a court decision was meaningless, he said. Shobha Karandlaje MP was also present.
