Addressing reporters at Udupi where he had come to campaign for the MLC polls, he said BJP was making concerted efforts across the state to win a majority in the polls. There was little fight in the Dakshina Kannada-Udupi constituency where his party was confident of winning, he said.
He alleged that the Congress government in the state had scant regard for the rural population. No developmental work was taking place in these areas though the government had given plenty of promises to the people.
On the National Herald case, he said every citizen was bound to appear in court when there was a summons. Blaming the Prime Minister for a court decision was meaningless, he said. Shobha Karandlaje MP was also present.
