Union Minister Sushma Swaraj today said that the BJP would "comfortably" win 50 plus seats in the Haryana assembly polls.
"BJP's mission is 50 plus seats in Haryana polls and the party will achieve it comfortably," she said
Addressing a public meeting in favour of BJP candidate from Kaithal, Rao Surinder Singh here, she said that she had predicted victory for her party on 272 plus seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections and it went on to win 284 seats.
Sushma said that the people of Haryana owed it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a decisive mandate to BJP as he had given representation to as many as four persons hailing from Haryana in different ministries.
She said that this election was more important for the BJP than any other as this was the first time that it was aiming to form its own government rather than have a coalition partner with some other party.
The union minister said that Haryana always had a government which believed in "hekri" (arrogance) or loot.
The BJP, if voted to power, would give to the people a government with polite leadership and clean administration, she said.
It would give representation to all castes and areas in power-sharing after forming the government, she said.
Sushma said that during her visit to the US recently, when asked by foreign ministers of various countries which region of India she hails from, she told them with pride that she was from Haryana.
"So Haryana has come on the international map thanks to the BJP government at the Centre," she observed.
The BJP leader said the party in its manifesto had taken care of all the categories of people.
For example old age pension would be increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 and there would be an unemployment allowance for youth.
Senior citizens, she said, would be given the facility of free pilgrimage with adequate security and a helper as being done in Madhya Pradesh.
BJP would also provide free bus passes to girl students, she added.
