With BJP's Soni Koli defeating Independent Mamata Koli by 4042 votes in Rudrapur, the party established its dominance in four of the six municipal corporations in the state, where civic body polls were held on April 28.
Counting of votes for Rudrapur and Kashipur municipal corporations went on till late in the night yesterday and the results could be announced today.
The mayoral seat in Kashipur went to Independent candidate Usha Chaudhry who defeated Rukhsana of Congress by 7,418 votes.
BJP's Manoj Garg defeated Congress candidate Rishiswarananad by 17,147 votes to win Haridwar mayoral seat.

BJP also won the Haldwani Municipal Corporation with its candidate Jogendra Rautela defeating Samajwadi Party's Abdul M Siddiqui by 1,409 votes even as Congress finished third.
The Roorkee Municipal Corporation went to Independent candidate Yashpal Rana who defeated his nearest rival Mahendra Arora of the BJP by a narrow margin of over 110 votes.
