BJP's youth wing BJYM today launched a month-long campaign to make people aware about various digital transaction methods.
Launching the campaign, titled 'Yuva for Digital Paisa', here, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morha (BJYM) president Anurag Thakur said five modes of cashless transaction -- use of bank cards, e-wallets, AADHAAR-enabled payment, unified payment interface and USSD -- will be explained to the people.
Batting for the Prime Minister's demonetisation move and call for a "less cash" society, Thakur said the youth has a "historic opportunity" to join the movement and eradicate corruption and black money from the country.
"I salute this revolutionary step taken by Prime Minster Narendra Modi. He has given all us a chance to take our nation to greater heights and eradicate corruption and black money from the country," he said.
It should not be challenging to move towards cashless transactions as there are around "80 crore" people who possess debit or credit cards and "90 crore mobile users" in the country, he claimed.
BJYM activists were given training on different modes of digital money by experts on the occasion.
