BJYM holds protest in Jammu

Amidst the raging row at JNU, activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of BJP, today held a protest here accusing Congress of fomenting trouble across the country.
"Congress, which has been literally whitewashed from across the country, has been fomenting trouble by indulging in various anti-national and anti-social activities," BJYM leader Ajay Gupta said.
Gupta said Congress should desist from"anti-national" activities and supporting theprotestors in JNU who glorified the Parliament attackconvict Afzal Guru.
"Afzal Guru was hanged because he was party to the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament. It was not just an attack on a building but the attack was on Indian democracy and Indian republic," he said.
He said by supporting the people who raised"anti-India" slogans, the Congress leadership has proved that forthem votebank politics is more important than nationalinterest.
Demanding stern action against the students and others who participated in the protest at JNU, the BJYMactivists said they should be punished so thatothers learn a lesson from it.

"We should not see it through the prism of politicsas national interest is paramount for all of us and national interest should always be kept above party politics. Those who indulged in anti-national activities must be dealt with as per the law of land," BJYM activist Pawan Kumar said.
The BJYM activists raised anti-Congress slogans and set the party's effigy on fire.
Meanwhile, the activists of National Student Union of India (NSUI), Congress' student wing, also held a protest against the RSS and the BJP, accusing them of targetting NSUI activists in Jammu.
An NSUI leader alleged that the BJP and the RSS activists had manhandled some of theirmembers yesterday.
