The other demands of the BJYM includes, urgent measures to contain law and order problems, to put a halt on fraudulent diversion of development funds, early restoration of NH 52-A, proper road connectivity at state capital with urgent initiative for subways and to put a ban on mass political transfer and postings.
While receiving the memorandum on behalf of the governor, his secretary Shurbir Singh informed the representatives that the Raj Bhawan was keeping a watch on the law and order problems and challenges of the state, and official communique said.
Singh also informed that recently the governor had given his assent to the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2014 which provides for preventive detention of anti-social elements and habitual offenders in order to maintain public order.
He urged the civil society to come forward and share cases of any unlawful activities like extortion with the police and district authorities.
