Officials said the Central Board of Direct Taxes has forwarded the name of 30 IRS officials for the task and they have been brought on deputation to the poll-body.
"The officials will be exclusively dealing with the subject of black money which comes into play during the polls. They will work to ensure that illegal inducements made to voters are not able to disturb the level playing field," a senior official said.
The Commission has also enabled e-filing of affidavits and expenditure statements for the forthcoming polls which will have to be lodged by the candidates.
EC recently announced the dates for Assembly polls in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry with the first polling day being April 4 and the counting of votes on May 16.
