Blaze put out in China's chemical factory

Over 600 firefighters have doused blaze at a warehouse storing chemicals and fuel which caught fire and exploded in China's eastern Jiangsu province.
The fire, which began around 9:40 AM yesterday in Jingjiang City, was put out at 1:50 AM today after firefighters from nearby cities of Shanghai, Nanjing, Nantong, Suzhou and Wuxi were mobilized to help.
With chemical storage tanks destroyed and their contents spreading over a wide area, firefighters had difficulty approaching for a while, state-run Xinhua news agency said.
They put off the blaze after the valve of an oil pipeline was shut off. However, no casualties have been reported.

There are 42 tanks in the facility, two had burned up and the fire had spread to another five yesterday.
The fire department had said that the fire started from pipeline and then triggered at the breather valve of gasoline tank.
Among the 42 tanks at the storage, 12 are gasoline tanks, the rest 30 contain dangerous chemicals including alcohol and lipid.
