"In the last general elections, blessings of the 'sants' brought the (popular) mandate to BJP in the country," he said while addressing a gathering of monks at Kundalpur, a popular Jain pilgrimage place near here.
"Under the blessings of 'sants' and 'acharyas', BJP has realised God in poor (people). According to the directions of Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, (head of Digambar Jain sect) we are working to take the society and country to the peak," the BJP chief said.
"The country is marching ahead and all round development is taking place under the leadership of Modi," Shah said, adding that the saffron party was committed to provide justice and opportunity to the poorest of poor.
Observing that while the world was going through unrest and tribulations, Shah said, "Indian culture is the key to happiness".
