The 15-year-old girl, who has been studying in the school for five years, recently had complained to her mother that the teacher, Sushen Sarkar, was sexually harassing her, police said.
Her family lodged a police complaint today and the teacher was arrested. He was booked under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act, they said.
