Block Pramukh beats up BDO in UP

The Block Development Officer (BDO) of Chaubeypur area here today alleged that he was beaten up at his office by Block Pramukh Mukesh Yadav who also took away Rs 70,000 cash kept for government works.
Chaubeypur BDO Kripa Shanker Rajput in his complaint said that Block Pramukh Mukesh Yadav, reportedly associated with Samajwadi Party, had called him to his home, SP (Rural) Surendra Tiwari said.
Busy with official work, Rajput couldn't visit Yadav at his home following which the later accompanied by his supporters came to the BDO office and beat him up, the SP said.
The officer also alleged that Yadav took away with him Rs 70,000 cash kept in the office for government works, Tiwari said.

While Rajput has been admitted to the hospital, a case has been registered aginst Yadav and investigation was underway although no one has been arrested yet.
