Expressing shock over the revelations of conversations between the British and then Indira Gandhi government, Sukhbir alleged that "the Congress government in connivance with its foreign counterpart conducted an attack on the sacred shrine of Sikhs, which exposed its intentions and deliberations towards Punjab".
Talking to reporters here, he alleged that the operation was a well-planned exercise of the Congress government and the disclosure of more details could bring the truth "behind this gravest operation against Sikhs".
Reiterating his party's commitment to get justice for the 1984 anti-Sikh riots victims, Sukhbir said SAD would fight continuously until delivery of justice "despite the hurdles being created by the Congress government at the Centre".
"We will continue our fight against the culprits and accused responsible for the massacre of Sikhs in 1984 till our last breath," he said.
Both the then governments were equally guilty of the "unpardonable act of attacking the most revered Sikh shrine, the Golden Temple", he had said.
