BMC to face hard days for non-passage of budget

The Berhampur Municipal Corporation in Ganjam district may face hard time for the next about three months as its annual budget for fiscal 2014-15 has not been passed with the model code of conduct is in force since Wednesday.
The civic body has to wait till mid-May to pass the budget, corporation sources said.
The corporation had called council meeting on Wednesday afternoon to pass the Rs 313 crore annual budget, but it could not due to enforcement of poll code," said in-charge commissioner of corporation, Sangram Kumar Panda.
