Boat capsize on Mahona river, 12 feared drown

Twelve people, including three children, were feared drowned when the boat in which they were crossing the Mahona river capsized near Elona Ghat in Tikuniya police station area late this evening.
According to eyewitnesses, about 12 people were feared drowned as the boat capsized in the main stream of the river.
Confirming the accident, Sub-Divisional Magistrate D P Pal said detail of the suspected victims were not known.
