Boat suffers damage in collision

A mechanised boat suffered damages after it collided with the Pamban Cantilever this morning.
The bridge also suffered minor damage, but did not its functioning, officials said.
The bridge was kept open for a barge which was proceeding towards Kolkata from Goa, when the mechanised boat collided with it.
