Alicia Etheridge, who married Brown in Hawaii in June this year, was rushed to hospital in Florida after suffering a seizure on September 1, reported Daily Express.
Brown, who was in Florida to perform with his group New Edition, took to Twitter to confirm reports about his wife's medical emergency.
"The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true. She is recovering and in good spirits. Please keep my family in your prayers," he said.
Brown completed a three-week stint in rehab last month amid reports that he is suffering from a drink problem.
