Bodies of missing youths traced after four months

The bodies of two youths, who had gonemissing in the glacier near Sundarsi here four months ago, were traced by a rescue team.
The bodies of Vikas Gupta and Vivek Beri were spotted between Sundarsi and Bhairon Ghati enroute ManimaheshLake here.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bharmour, Jitender Kanwar said the body of Gupta was recovered today while Beri's body was found yesterday in a search operation carried out by the rescue team comprising six members of the Mountaineering Institute Bharmour and three police personnel.
Five persons were on the way to holy Manimahesh Lake on the occasion of Mahashivratri on March 7 but due to heavy snowfall, three of them returned to Bharmour while Gupta and Beri went missing.

An eight-member team of experts led by an officer from the Mountaineering Institute, Gulmarg conducted a search operation near Dhanchho in the mountainous tribal region of Bharmour here in the second week of March but failed to trace the youths due to heavy snowfall.
The bodies of Gupta and Beri had been identified and brought to Regional Hospital Chamba for postmortem, the SDM added.
