Bodies of three women of a family found

Three women members of a tribal family were axed to death by unidentified persons in Hathitopa under Bundu police station in Ranchi district, police today said.
Ranchi superintendent of police (rural), Raj Kumar Lakra said the body of a 60-year-old woman was found in a room of a hotel on national highway at Hathitopa under Bundu police station, while two other bodies of women who were in their 40s were found from a nearby jungle today.
The two bodies recovered from jungle had their hands tied to a tree, he said adding the first woman's body was found in the room of a hotel which had belonged to her late husband.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the incident appeared to have taken place 24-hour before, he said adding the reason behind it is yet to be ascertained.
Investigations are on, he added.
