They were identified as Erina (23), a resident of Bango police station limits, and her friend Neelu Yadav (22), resident of Pali area, Pali station house officer C S Sharma said.
As per the preliminary probe, Erina had gone out with Neelu to celebrate her birthday on December 5. When they didn't return, the parents lodged 'missing person' complaint the next day.
Some locals noticed the two bodies floating in the dam this morning and alerted the police following which they were fished out.
