Body Building India to open 100 supplement stores,gyms by 2019

Fitness products provider Body Building India (BBI) today said it looks to open 100 food supplement stores in India by 2019 and eyes to be the largest player in the organised supplements market.
Besides, the company also plans to open about 100 gyms across the country, betting big on the 'gym99' concept, wherein customers can pay for per hour usage starting Rs 99.
"We have grown from a one store company in October 2016 to a 30 store firm today and we plan to close to 100 operational stores by March 2019, Body Building India CEO Ankush Sabharwal told PTI.
The cost of investment, Sabharwal said, would be approximately Rs 20 lakh per store, where it will sell supplement products of around 25 brands, including the international ones.
With regard to the gyms, the company said it is in talks with franchise partners in Gurgaon and Ghaziabad and will open about 10 gyms by the year end.
When asked about investment involved for setting up the gyms, Sabharwal said: "The cost per gym would be at an average of Rs 75-80 lakh.
