The body of a 48-year-old man was found in government building here today, police said.
As the body was found lying in a pool of blood on a protruding portion at the third floor, it was being suspected that the man committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the nine-storey building.
The deceased has been identified as Pratap Chandra Swain, a native of Nilagiri in Balasore district.
Police suspected that Swain was mentally ill.
A pair of footwear and a pack of cigarettes were found on the roof from where he apparently jumped, police said.
