The boy's parents alleged that someone has stolen the body, while the graveyard authorities claimed that a dog or some wild animals might have taken away the body.
The matter is being investigated and prima facie, it looks like some animals took the body away, said a senior police officer.
"The boundary wall is quite short and animals can easily climb over it. We have asked the graveyard authorities to take adequate security measures so that such incidents don't happen again," he said.
The baby started feeling uneasy on January 3 and was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
He was laid to rest the same day and yesterday when his father went to the graveyard, he found that his son's body was missing following which he approached police.
