Body of elderly man found, 3 others spotted injured

An elderly man was found hanging, while three other members of the same family including a baby were found with shartp weapon-inflicted injuries at Darzipara in Kotoali area of Nadia district tonight.
Police said the man Bipul Kanti Paul (62) was found hanging.
Paul had retired from State Electricity Board.
Besides him, injury-prone bodies of Nandita Paul (52), the mother of Subhankar, Sujata (28) and Subhajit (5), the wife and son of Subhankar were lying at the verandah in a pool of blood.
The injured three members were rushed to Krishnagar District Hospital and police sent the body of Bipul Paul for autopsy.

SP, Nadia, Shees Ram Jhajharia said, "Primarily it appeared that the old man had tried to kill the three by sharp weapon and then hanged himself probably due to any family unrest. But we are also looking into other possibilities.
