The girl a resident of Saquojhora locality had told her parents last night that she was going to her grandparents house nearby to watch tv and would return today.
This morning the local people found the body of the girl in the fields with her clothes torn.
The parents of the girl lodged a complaint with the Dhugpuri police station alleging that she was raped and then murdered.
The police said the body has been sent for postmortem and only after we receive the postmortem report we can say whether she was raped and murdered.
