Body of man found

Body of a 45-year-old man, who was missing since yesterday, was found at a plot in Najafgarh area of south west Delhi today.
Police said Puran Singh used to live with his family in Jai Vihar colony in Najafgarh and had gone out looking for a job yesterday morning but did not return.
His body was found in a vacant land plot close to his house by the locals. Prima facie it appeared that he was hit with stones, said a police officer.
Family members of the victim claimed he had some monetary dispute which could be the reason behind his murder.

A case of murder has been registered and search is underway to nab the culprits, the officer said.
In a separate incident, a 22-year-old man was shot dead by assailants in Poothkhurd village of Bawana in the morning today.
The victim identified as Rohit worked as a mechanic and was shot at his home. The assailants managed to flee, police said.
A case has been registered and investigation in underway, they said.
