The body of a 35-year-old missing woman was found in a village here, police said today.
The victim, identified as Kavita, was missing since yesterday, they said, adding that the body was found at a field in Jasoee village under the Titawi police station area.
Police said preliminary investigation suggested that she was strangled to death.
The woman had set out to go to the fields yesterday but she never returned. The husband of the deceased is absconding and police are on the lookout to nab him, officials said, adding that an investigation was underway.
In a separate incident, a 30-year-old farmer was stabbed to death by the unknown miscreants in Bijopur village under Chapar police station here today, officials said.
The body was sent for postmortem and investigation was on, they added.
