The 72-year-old megastar wished fans through his blog post.
"My wishes to all brothers and sisters on this auspicious occasion of 'raksha bandhan'... The day brothers pledge their protection to their sisters... A bond that is symbolised by the 'rakhi' that is worn on the wrist, that thread, that decorated thread, that shall remain eternally and through life bonded and respected..." he wrote.
Priyanka's love towards her brother is nothing new to the world. The actress posted series of tweets celebrating the festival.
Shraddha Kapoor, who shares a close bond with her actor brother Siddhant, wrote, "Blessed to tie Rakhi every year to my two precious brothers. Happy Raksha Bandhan brother @SiddhanthKapoor @priyanksharma."

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh wished casting director Shanoo Sharma a very Happy Rakhi, "The positive energy of the family... Veteran actress Shabana Azmi missed celebrating the festival with her brother who is currently shooting in Aurangabad.
"I am very sad to miss tying rakhi to my brother #Baba Azmi. He is shooting in Aurangabad and I am in Chennai. I am fully sentimental about rakhi. Miss him."
Bipasha Basu wished filmmaker Soham Shah on the occassion, writing, "Happy Rakshabandhan. Lucky to have a brother like you @sohamssss ! Love you tons!" she wrote.
