Previously, Malhotra has designed clothes for top Bollywood celebrities like Kajol, Sharukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone and others and had recently even designed Kareena Kapoor's wedding outfit.
The designer has now tied up with Forevermark, the diamond brand from the De Beers Group, for its new collection.
A pair of chandelier earrings, featuring 56 diamonds is what Malhotra has designed. The 47-year-old designer says with this endeavour he intends to "showcase the heritage and culture of India on a global platform."
The diamonds, says the designer have been inspired by an old chandelier.

"I had a princess from the 1930s in mind while designing this piece. She is Indian and loves tradition and could have been educated may be abroad, she wears the piece in her own way which is traditional yet modern," says Malhotra.
The piece, says the designer took two months to come to fruition, and features a total of 2518 diamonds weighing 49.02 carats and were set in 91.03 grams of 18 carat rose gold.
"As an Indian designer it's my prerogative to explore our culture and heritage and my promise is to promote the rich traditions of art and design in our country. By designing this piece of jewelery, I want to mark another milestone in the world of design, keeping my promise alive," Malhotra told PTI.
Like Malhotra other fellow designers from the industry have not only tried their hand in jewelry designing but also apparel for children, mobile software or even alcohol bottles.
Another veteran designer from the industry Manish Arora, has collaborated with brands like Reebok, MAC, Swarovski and Absolut Vodka and has created eclectic designs for gift boxes for snacks brand 'Kurkure'.
