Bomb scare at Yavatmal collectorate

Panic prevailed at the office of district collector here for some time as an anonymous letter mentioned about the presence of a bomb on the campus, which later turned out to be a hoax, police said.
The letter dropped in the mail box of a local newspaper, prompted a two-hour-long search by Bomb Disposal Squad which scoured the collectorate to trace the 'bomb'.
When contacted, Residential Deputy Collector (RDC) Rajesh Khawle confirmed the receipt of the letter from the newspaper's office, which according to him has threatened to blow up the collectorate.
