Bombay Dyeing Q4 net profit at Rs 10.95 crore

Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Co Ltd today reported a standalone net profit of Rs 10.95 crore for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2018.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 62.53 crore in the January-March period a year ago, Bombay Dyeing said in a BSE filing.

Its total income during the period under review was up 37.02 per cent at Rs 765.21 crore as against Rs 558.44 crore of the corresponding quarter.

Bombay Dyeing's total expenses were at Rs 629.21 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2017-18 against Rs 542.74 crore in January-March 2017, up 15.93 per cent.

For the financial year 2017-18 ended on March 31, Bombay Dyeing's consolidated net profit was at Rs 35.18 crore. It had a net loss of Rs 126.52 crore in 2016-17.

Its total consolidated income was at Rs 2,744 crore in FY 2017-18 as against Rs 2,100.60 crore in the previous fiscal, up 30.62 per cent.

Meanwhile, in a separate filing Bombay Dyeing informed BSE that its board has recommended a dividend of Re 1.00 per equity share of Rs 2/- each for FY 2017-18.

Shares of Bombay Dyeing today settled at Rs 289.05 on BSE , down 3.25 per cent from previous close.
