A book penned by the Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on her journey from a teacher to a politician was released today at Gandhinagar by spiritual leader Swami Adhyatmanandji and the columnist Chandrakant Mehta.
The book is titled 'Ae Mane Hamesha Yaad Raheshe' (I will remember that forever).
Dedicating the book to her parents Jethabhai Patel and Menaben Patel and elder sister Saritaben Patel, the first woman Chief Minister of the state said a true public servant should have the spirit of helping everybody with utmost ease.
"Every person has at least one such incident in the life which he cannot forget. If one is committed to help or dedicate the life then only he can realise the ideals of public service," Patel said.
Adhyatmanandji said that he considered Patel as his mother and she was a strong and spirited leader.
"Educated people lack emotions today, which is a sad part of the system, therefore their participation should be sought to sow the seeds of ethics among the people," he said.
Mehta said on this occasion that Patel possessed the values of a committed teacher, an able ruler and a sentimental social leader. As a Chief Minister she has the ability to take decisions quickly, and had credibility and unimaginable confidence, he said.
