Gurjit Singh and Krishan Bhagwan Singh were killed on October 14 in the police firing during protest over the alleged sacrilege of a holy book in Behbal Khurd village of the district.
During his visits to village Sarawaan and Behbal Khurd today, Deputy Chief Minister expressed profound grief over the tragic deaths of the two youths.
He assured the families of both the victims that whoever is found guilty in the firing incident, would be dealt with in accordance with provisions of law.
Expressing deep shock over the recent incidents of sacrilege of holy Guru Granth Sahib, Deputy CM said that "certain anti-Punjab forces are at play to vitiate the atmosphere of the state through such heinous incidents but their evil intentions won't be allowed to succeed".

He said that "the sentiment of communal harmony among the people of Punjab is fully intact and they would give a strong reply to such anti-Punjab forces."
Conceding a demand of the villagers, Badal also announced setting up of a community centre with modern amenities at a cost of Rs 60 lakh at Village Sarawaan in the memory of Gurjit Singh.
Badal also assured to fulfill the demands of the panchayats of both villages.
Recently, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had met the families of the firing victims.
Rahul Gandhi would lead a 21-member party delegation to President Pranab Mukherjee to demand time bound probe by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court into the "unprovoked police firing," Punjab Congress President Pratap Singh Bajwa had said yesterday.
